11/06: DefendingWomen Might Help Your Community, Your College, Your Congregation.
DefendingWomen.com helps Women's Health Fair at Stephens College to make life on campus safer.
Hallandale Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 12, 2006 -- Today, November 11, 2006, Stephens College, a small women's College in Central Missouri is hosting a Women's Health Fair on its campus.
This Health Fair is aimed for young girls and women and especially minority populations with the goal to provide women with resources for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A number of local businesses and national organizations will be in attendance, including American Red Cross, Barnes & Noble, Abuse and Rape Shelter, Gold's Gym, Girls Scouts and many more. The event will be covered by KMIZ-TV and KPLA radio.
Life on campus can be full of unexpected turns and events. These violent events or news about them across the country can be very distracting to young women living on campus and very unsettling to their parents.
To help young women to learn more about self-reliance and self-defense, DefendingWomen.Com, a web retailer of self-defense products for women, will supply samples of their Pepper Spray and Mace selection for the Health Fair. Although pepper sprays have become ubiquitous, many students and faculty members will be able to see these simple and reliable self-defense products for the first time.
Some new additions to the DefendingWomen's catalog, such as Pepper Spray in a lipstick or Pepper Spray jet launcher, by Kimber LifeAct, reliably attract more attention from the public.
The proper use of defensive sprays along with other self-defense techniques will be demonstrated by the instructors of International Martial Arts and Fitness arena.
In order to make the help even more practical, DefendingWomen.Com also extends a large discount program to all Stephens College community, faculty members and students. Everyone is welcome!
"DefendingWomen.Com will help various communities, colleges, churches, charities to organize similar events, fund raisers, rallies, programs to help women feel safer, more confident and to stop occasional violence," states Alex Wertheim, Director of DefendingWomen.Com.
