Would you be able to tell me if pepper spray would help me fight off a dog that was attacking me?
I was attacked a few months ago by a Rottweiler and then this morning, two dogs come after me. There are a lot of loose, unattended dogs in my neighborhood. What size should I get to fight off two dogs?

We have a problem and we will need your help.Here is what's going on: as you probably know in the last couple of years they developed a number of new good self-defense products that do not exactly "spray" their pepper.
Some shoot their pepper spray or pepper gel load with their own pyrotechnic drive, like the Guardian Angel.Some, like Mace Gun or Dragon Fire instantly develop very high pressure in the chamber and make a long forceful stream of the pepper solution toward the target. There are others that shoot paint balls or darts filled with pepper spray. This is all wonderful but how should we call all these devices? What do they do?

02/19: Safe Temperatures for Pepper Spray and Mace
At what safe temperature (Hi & Low)may the cans of mace or pepper spray be left out in a vehicle?
It's a good question, all year around.
You expect that your aerosol can of OC spray (pepper spray or mace) last at least 12 months, so this will definitely include the freezing cold of winter and a scorching summer heat.
After 12 months you will replace your bottle of pepper spray but what should you do in the meantime?

09/11: From Karen Jefferson: Defense against scooter jackings.
I ride a Vespa motorscooter and there have been a lot of "scooter-jackings" in DC lately, even in broad daylight on busy roads.
The thieves hop on the back of the seat when you are stopped at a light and then push you off and steal the scooter. I'm really sick of this. The police have not caught any of these thieves. Is there a product you carry that you might recommend for someone like me who would be riding, and wearing leather gloves, helmet, etc., and it is hard to react quickly?

07/12: Animal Repellent sprays in New York !!!
Some positive news for New York state residents:
Our distributors told us that they will indeed ship Animal repellent sprays to New York state residents!
New Yorkers knew although Pepper sprays and Mace are LEGAL in New York state, however, a law of the state regulates the sales of Defensive Sprays inside the NY state and prohibits their shipment to NY state residents. 05/08: My brand new stun gun does not work! What do I do?
